Vroom, a national early learning initiative that empowers parents to turn everyday activities into brain building moments with their children, provides a set of tools that explain the science behind early brain development, empowering parents and caregivers with actionable tips to turn shared moments into brain building opportunities with their kids. Vroom, partnering with the Bezos Family Foundation, has been expanded to 16 different sites across Oregon.
Ari Wubbold, the Early Learning Division’s Vroom Coordinator, has been collaborating with Early Learning Division staff as well as community partners to get Vroom into the hands of early learning programs, families and communities in Oregon over the past few months. He has a background in political and educational research and has a passion for promoting healthy communities.
This early learning initiative comes with free resources that are readily available and include a free, easy-to-use app, a wide variety of downloadable documents and resources which include Vroom Tips specifically designed to fit into the daily routines of busy parents and families.
