Relief Nurseries Overview
Relief Nurseries seek to prevent the cycle of child abuse and neglect through early intervention programs that focus on building successful and resilient children, strengthening family skills of parents and caregivers, and preserving families by offering comprehensive and integrated early childhood therapeutic and family support services.
Relief Nursery services are trauma-informed, non-stigmatizing, voluntary, strength-based, culturally appropriate, and designed to achieve appropriate early childhood development and healthy and attached family functioning. All Relief Nurseries are replicated through and certified by the Oregon Association of Relief Nurseries (OARN).
Providers and partners who receive funding from the state through an ELD contract or agreement are required to complete an equity training. Click here for more information.
